Divot The Herding Terrier

Divot has a strange little quirk that she does when she gets excited. When I give the dogs their chewies (they always get the kind with the flavored basting) I always have them lay on their "blankie," which is an old beach towel. This helps to keep the basting stains off the carpet and they're very good about staying on it while they have a chewie. When I spread the towel out on the floor, they know they're getting their chewie. They get so excited about this that they are bouncing off the floor as I walk. If Divot is behind me she nips at the back of my knee as if she's "herding" me into the room. Sometimes I walk backward so she doesn't nip me -- especially when I'm wearing shorts. It hurts! I always tell her, you're a member of the Terrier Group not the Herding Group!
